Choosing a tool

Compare image translation tools

Choose a tool by the result you need, supported inputs and how easily you can check its output. This is a feature comparison based on official help, not an accuracy ranking.

Compare the workflow

HonyakuMiru provides Japanese, Chinese and English interfaces, uses DeepL for image translation and lets you save PNG or WebP without creating an account. A shared IP allowance limits free daily use.

Google Translate’s desktop image workflow supports translated-image downloads. Yandex Translate supports switching between original and translated images and saving the result. DeepL also offers whole-image translation for PNG, JPG and JPEG as a beta feature with its own account requirements.

Choose with the same test image

Service features and plans can change. Check the linked official pages for the current conditions before depending on a particular workflow.

  1. Decide whether you need a translated image or only plain text.
  2. Check the source language, supported format, size limit and any account requirement.
  3. Try the same permitted image, compare the smallest text and important labels, then inspect a downloaded result.

What a comparison cannot guarantee

Free allowance and language support do not imply equal accuracy for every image. Dense diagrams, vertical dialogue and decorative text can fail differently in different tools.

Look at omitted words, altered names, number accuracy and line order, not just fluent sentences. If a result will influence an important action, ask a person who can verify the original.
